January Employee of the Month

Our team here at Venetian Gardens is filled with amazing individuals that put their all into making our facility feel like a home for our residents. This month, we'd like to recognize an employee that stood out and made an impact among her co-workers and residents. Congratulations to our January Employee of the Month, Jaylen Davis!

Jaylen has been happily serving our residents in our Dietary Department for over a year. She started as a Dietary Aide and was recently promoted to a cook position. Jaylen is so deserving of this award for many reasons. One reason is that she is in high school and still maintains a full-time job and continues to be a hard, dedicated worker. Jaylen is someone you can always depend on. She cares about her residents and co-workers around her and is always offering a helping hand.



Jaylen knew from an early age that she wanted to help people because her mother worked in nursing homes. Jaylen saw first-hand what impact her mother had on those around her, and this inspired Jaylen to begin her career in long-term care. Jaylen always looked up to her mom, wanting the same fulfillment in her career.

Jaylens’ favorite part about working at Venetian Gardens is working with people who care and support each other. Her favorite memory is when the Activity Department held their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Jaylen had a lot of fun with the residents and her co-workers for this event.

When Jaylen is not at work or school, you will find her shopping or reading. She also volunteers at her local church. Jaylen’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because she loves all the good food and spending time with family. One thing on her bucket list is to own and run a 50s and 60s -themed diner. Her most important accomplishment is buying a 99’ Jeep Wrangler, and soon will be getting her very first apartment.
