December Employee of the Month

As we enter another month, we'd like to recognize an employee who has stood out and made an impact on those around them. Congratulations to Cambie Wilson, Venetian Gardens' December Employee of the Month!

Cambie is one of our awesome LPNs that provide care to our residents. She has worked at our skilled nursing facility for about six months and has already been a shining star. Cambie has impacted everyone around her, including her co-workers and residents. The residents say that Cambie has a calming approach and always has a smile on her face. Her peers love to work with her, and her residents absolutely adore her.


Cambie has two daughters named Makenzie and Bayleigh, a boyfriend named Jess, two dogs named Levi and Leia, and a cat named Pebbles. Cambie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but moved a lot growing up. She moved a total of 13 times! She stayed the longest in Portland, Oregon, and Cincinnati, Ohio, where she ended up graduating from Kings High School.

When Cambie isn't working, she is usually with her dogs, kids or boyfriend. She also loves everything outdoors, including looking at unique collections of plants. Some of her favorite outdoor hobbies include doing adrenaline-seeking activities like skydiving, scuba diving, canoeing, boating and rock climbing.

Cambie has always been interested in healthcare, and her interest in becoming a life-flight Nurse is what started her nursing career. Her bucket list consists of cage diving with Great White Sharks, finishing her bachelor's degree and going on to get her Masters in Nursing. Her favorite thing about Venetian Gardens is working with the employees, Peyton, Erin, and Tina (her Aides), and her Unit Manager.

Cambie's most important accomplishment is becoming a mom. Her oldest is a junior at the University of Cincinnati in a pre-med program. Her youngest is a brain cancer fighter with a total of 15 surgeries she has gone through. She has done commercials for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and volunteers with other kids that have similar disabilities.
